Lost Planet 2 for PS3
Capcom has just released new details and screenshots about Lost Planet 2, the sequel to the 2.2 million selling third-person shooter Lost Planet®: Extreme Condition. Lost Planet 2 picks up the storyline ten years later, with E.D.N III much changed: the terraforming project has been successful and the ice has started melting, leaving in its wake lush green tropical jungle vegetation and less inviting desert areas.
Playing as your own fully customisable snow pirate character, you get to explore the new environment in your bid to take over the planet. The single-player action will evolve over six interconnected episodes, and will change according to the actions that your character takes. There will also be a plethora of multiplayer modes to sink your teeth into, including a campaign mode which will enable you to form co-operative teams of up to four players online.
Gadgets and weaponry will be better than ever, including the Vital Suits and grappling hooks from the first game, plus some seriously heavy duty firepower, including machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, lasers, sniper rifles and grenades to name just a few. As you can tell from these amazing screenshots, Lost Planet 2 is already looking pretty spectacular, making full use of Capcom’s advanced graphics engine, MT Framework 2.0. We can’t wait to see more!
